Lukaku linked with neighbours
Romelu Lukaku has demanded answers from Chelsea over his continuing exclusion by boss Andre Villas-Boas and is ready to join Fulham on loan, the Daily Mail say.
They report that Lukaku’s agent Christophe Henrotay has held talks with Chelsea directors about the 18-year-old striker’s future and suggest QPR may also be interested in signing him.
He is widely tipped to move on a season-long loan this summer and Henrotay said: “It is clear that, if Romelu’s situation stays the same, we have to search for a solution.
“Chelsea want to loan him to another Premier League team, preferably one in London, so they can follow his evolution.”
Meanwhile, The Independent report David Luiz’s denial that he criticised his Chelsea team-mate Frank Lampard in an interview with the Portuguese press.
Blues defender Luiz was quoted by O Jogo newspaper as commenting on team-mate Lampard’s widely publicised problems with Villas-Boas.
But Luiz was adamant his words had been taken out of context and were not directed specifically at Lampard.
The Brazilian wrote on Twitter: “This is media, Frank know me, and I never said about him! I said generaly! I only talked about coaches and players in general. Always CFC.”
The Sun’s response is the headline: ‘Twit Luiz Grovels’.
They say Luiz was backtracking after accusing Lampard of acting like a spoilt brat.
