Half-time: Tottenham 2 Apoel 0 – Spurs in control at Wembley
Fernando Llorente’s first goal for the club and another strike from Heung-Min Son gave Tottenham a half-time lead in their final Champions League group game.
With Spurs already qualified as Group H winners, Llorente started up front as one of eight changes at Wembley and he poked home the opener from close range after controlling well inside the box.
Llorente turned provider in a neat one-two with Son that set-up the South Korean to curl home his sixth goal of the season and third in the Champions League.
Georges-Kevin N’Koudou, making his first start of the campaign, had a chance cleared off the line after Llorente’s header was saved.
Tottenham: Vorm, Aurier, Sanchez, Foyth, Rose, Winks, Sissoko, Alli, Nkoudou, Son, Llorente.
Subs: Gazzaniga, Davies, Vertonghen, Amos, Dembele, Sterling, Walker-Peters.
