Holloway criticises both sets of fans after dramatic derby
Ian Holloway criticised fans of both sides after QPR’s dramatic 2-2 draw with Brentford at Loftus Road.
Rangers scored twice in injury time to snatch a point after Lasse Vibe’s brace seemed to have given the Bees victory.
“I was disappointed with our fans and with their fans,” Holloway said.
The Rangers manager was unhappy that many of the home supporters had left by the time his team launched their incredible fightback.
And he hit back at Brentford’s supporters for taunting him and Jake Bidwell as they celebrated what they thought would be another win against the R’s.
They teased Holloway with chants of “You’re getting sacked in the morning” and Rangers’ former Brentford defender Bidwell with “Bidwell, what’s the score?”
A jubilant Holloway said: “Until you’ve got something in the bag, you shouldn’t start doing what they did, because it might come back on you.
“I’ve got a little bit of a smug look on my face. Getting sacked in the morning? I don’t think so, and it’s a stupid thing to say – and I love it.
“And ‘Bids’ says the score ended up 2-2. Tell them Jake Bidwell said: ‘The score ended up 2-2!’
“That boy’s done brilliantly for you and your football club, he made you an awful lot of money.
“It ain’t his fault he was sold – and what they’ve done with all that money and how they’ve done it is brilliant.”
Luke Freeman’s equaliser seconds after Matt Smith had pulled a goal back meant Rangers somehow avoided a fourth consecutive defeat.
Holloway said: “I didn’t like the fact that some of our fans gave up – some of them. The rest of them were brilliant and we deserved that.
“We’re not going to give up. Never. And you never know what’s going to happen in this game.
“To the fans who went home, hopefully you missed your last bus. That’s the reason you went, well you missed a hell of a treat.
“If you missed it, you ain’t half missed something. QPR are never finished. Not ever.
“All the ones who stayed, I’m so burningly proud of you it’s unbelievable. No matter what happens, I will fight for this football club until I die.”

instead of criticising the poor fans who endured last nights rubbish, why doesn’t Mr.Holloway criticise the 75% of players who never showed up for 90 minutes.
