Bees complete signing of France U21 striker

Brentford have confirmed the signing of France Under-21 striker Neal Maupay from St Etienne.

Maupay, 20, has signed a four-year deal and will cost the Bees around £1.6m.

He will join pre-season training next week when the first-team squad return from France.

Co-sporting director Phil Giles said Maupay “honoured an agreement despite interest from other clubs”.

Brentford are also hoping to strike a deal with Exeter to sign striker Ollie Watkins.
