Transfer gossip: Chelsea linked with Czech forward
Some of the recent transfer speculation involving Chelsea.
Chelsea are among several clubs Gazzetta Dello Sport claim are interested in Sampdoria striker Patrik Schick.
Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal also want the 21-year-old Czech Republic international, according to the Italian daily.
Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid are also said to be keen on Schick, who joined Sampdoria from Sparta Prague last year.
Belotti still being linked
Chelsea also continue to be linked with Torino striker Andrea Belotti.
Sky in Italy reckon the Blues could beat Manchester United to the signing of Belotti because he wants to play in the Championship League.
The 23-year-old, who reportedly has an £83m release clause in his contract, has also been linked with Arsenal.
Speculation over Costa continues
Diego Costa being spotted meeting high-profile agent Jorge Mendes has led to more speculation about the Chelsea striker’s future.
The Sun reports that Costa, 26, was seen with Mendes and a group of businessmen at a Knightsbridge restaurant.
It comes amid reports of a potential big-money move to China for Costa, who has also been linked with clubs in Spain.
More speculation over Antonio
The Daily Mirror say West Ham have told Chelsea that Michail Antonio will not be sold despite reports the England international is keen to leave.
Antonio, who was linked with Chelsea during the January transfer window, is reported to have refused to sign a new contract at the London Stadium.
That has led to more speculation that he could move to west London, but the Mirror reports that West Ham are determined to keep him and plan to offer to double his wages.
A West Ham source is quoted by the newspaper as saying: “With five years left on his current contract Antonio will be going nowhere.
“The board have offered nearly double his current package as he is a valued member of Slaven’s squad, but if it’s not a good enough offer for him then he will have to stay on what he’s on.”
Chelsea close to Marchisio deal, Sun say
Chelsea are closing in on a deal to sign Italy midfielder Claudio Marchisio from Juventus, it is claimed.
The Sun say Chelsea have had an initial bid of around £17m rejected but believe a deal can be agreed, with Juve said to be willing to sell for £25m.
Marchisio, 31, previously played under Blues boss Antonio Conte for Juventus and Italy.
Chelsea linked with Stockdale again
The Mirror have again linked David Stockdale with a possible move to Chelsea.
They were linked with Brighton’s former Fulham goalkeeper during the January transfer window and the Mirror claim the Blues could move for him this summer.
Leeds United are said to be keen on the 31-year-old, whose Brighton contract expires at the end of the season.
