Ugbo scores two as Chelsea U23s crush Sunderland

Ike Ugbo scored twice as Chelsea’s development side beat Sunderland 3-0 on Friday evening.

Richard Nartey also scored in the Premier League 2 game at Stamford Bridge, where striker Ugbo (pictured) took his tally for the season to 20.

Nartey opened the scoring with a far-post finish from Mason Mount’s corner before Ugbo doubled the lead with a diving header from Jonathan Panzo’s cross.

Ugbo struck again in the second half, following up to score from the rebound after Isaac Christie-Davies’ effort had been saved.
