Martin set to return as Fulham receive injury boost

Chris Martin is set to return to the Fulham squad for Saturday’s game with Barnsley.

The Scotland striker had been left out of the last three squads after telling Whites boss Slavisa Jokanovic he wanted to return to parent club Derby.

However, Fulham refused to terminate the loan deal and there was no clause allowing the Rams to recall Martin.

Derby have since signed David Nugent from Leicester, although their manager Steve McClaren insisted that had not changed their stance on wanting Martin back.

However, Jokanovic has declared that Martin is fit and available to face Barnsley.

Centre-backs Tomas Kalas and Michael Madl have also recovered from injury, so Fulham’s only absentees are Floyd Ayite and Neeskens Kebano, who are away at the Africa Cup of Nations.
