Chelsea are among a number of clubs showing an interest in Sporting Lisbon winger Gelson Martins, The Sun reports.
Speculation about the 21-year-old comes as Portuguese newspaper A Bola report that the Blues, Manchester City and Manchester United will watch Sporting’s Champions League game against Real Madrid on Tuesday in order to monitor him.
It is standard practice for top European clubs to send a representative to watch Champions League matches.
Napoli linked with Zouma
Napoli have again been linked with Kurt Zouma.
Italian outlet Sport Mediaset say the Serie A club want to take Chelsea defender Zouma on loan following his recent recovery from a long-term knee injury.
There has been speculation that Chelsea, who have plenty of options at centre-back, would be willing to let Zouma leave on loan in January in order for him to get some first-team football.
He has featured for the Blues’ development side in their recent matches as part of his comeback.
Chelsea linked with another winger
Italian publication GazzaMercato claim Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is lining up a move for Fiorentina winger Federico Bernardeschi.
Conte, who has been linked with a host of players since his arrival at Stamford Bridge, is apparently an admirer of the 22-year-old.
Fiorentina are said to be desperate to keep Bernardeschi, who is under contract until 2019.
Thiago Maia speculation continues
Both the Daily Express and The Sun have picked up on more reports in Italy claiming that Chelsea want Thiago Maia.
The Santos midfielder, 19, was linked with the Blues during the summer transfer window.
He is again being touted for a possible move to the Premier League, with Manchester United also said to be keen.
However, it is suggested that French club Paris St-Germain are favourites to sign him.
