Hopes high at QPR after Holloway’s return – but Norwich look good for at least a point
Ian Holloway takes charge of his first match since returning as QPR boss when they face Norwich at Loftus Road on Saturday.
He inherits a struggling Rangers side, 17th in the Championship table, while the Canaries have lost three of their last four league games and need the points to get their own season back on track, having long been considered automatic promotion candidates.
Alex Neil’s side are 5/4 to win, with an R’s victory and the draw both at 23/10.
This is a massive game for both sides for different reasons and I think the points will be shared in a 1-1 draw, which is 6/1 at BetVIctor.
Rangers have 27 points to play for between now and 2 January, including five home games; they must get back to making Loftus Road a difficult place for opposition teams to play.
Fulham, meanwhile, are looking for a third straight win at home to Sheffield Wednesday.
The Whites are 11/8 to beat the Owls, with the draw 23/10 and the visitors 21/10. Fulham are 31/10 to win to nil, with Chris Martin 11/2 to open the scoring.
Fulham are in to 9/1 to be promoted and 9/4 to make the top six. This is a game they need to win to maintain their promotion charge.
Brentford travel to face a Blackburn team who currently sit just one place off the foot of the table. Rovers are marginal favourites at 13/8, with the Bees 17/10 and the draw at 23/10.
Rovers are a shade of odds-on (10/11) to be playing in League One next term and new boss Owen Coyle is sure to have them fired up for Saturday’s clash.
Dean Smith’s side must be ready for the challenge. If they are, that 17/10 is too big.
