Zamora ‘on £42k-a-week’
After weeks of transfer speculation, it’s a case of the calm after the storm post-deadline day.
The Sun say QPR paid Fulham £6m to sign Bobby Zamora on a deal worth around £42,000-a-week.
They also suggest Russian forward Pavel Pogrebnyak will cost Fulham £4m following his move from German club Stuttgart.
The Daily Mirror report Zamora’s stand-out comment that “the sky’s the limit” for QPR under their big-spending owners.
Matt Connolly tells the Reading Evening Post he decided to join Reading on loan after speaking to former QPR team-mates Kaspars Gorkss and Mikele Leigertwood.
A number of newspapers mention the John Terry court hearing, which begins today.
Lawyers for the Chelsea captain, who denies racially abusing QPR’s Anton Ferdinand, are expected to enter a plea on his behalf before a district judge at London’s Westminster Magistrates’ Court.

£42k a week about what you need to live in London nowadays. Let’s hope Bobby’s ok with that.
