Davison signs new Chelsea Ladies deal

Gemma Davison has extended her Chelsea Ladies contract to the summer of 2018.

The 29-year-old, last season’s player of the year, is the second member of Emma Hayes’ squad to sign a new seal this week.

Eniola Aluko also recently committed her future to the Blues, who will face Wolfsburg at Stamford Bridge in the Champions League next Wednesday.

“It’s an amazing stadium and to play against such top-quality opposition is what everyone at the club want,” said Davison.

“This is our chance to make a mark in Europe and show everyone what we want to achieve. Having the game at Stamford Bridge is an added incentive.”
