Nancy say Diakite deal is agreed

Nancy president Jacques Rousselot says the club have agreed a deal with QPR for midfielder Samba Diakite.

The Mali international, who has been representing his country at the Africa Cup of Nations, has also been a target for Lyon.

But R’s boss Mark Hughes is hopeful of signing Diakite, 23, on an initial loan deal and the player’s move is expected to be confirmed on Monday.

Rousselot told L’Equipe: “It will be a loan with an option to buy if QPR are still in the Premier League at the end of the season.”
