Fulham sign Wolves midfielder McDonald

Fulham have completed the signing of Wolves midfielder Kevin McDonald for an undisclosed fee.

McDonald, 27, has agreed a three-year contract at Craven Cottage with an option for a further 12 months.

Fulham had tried to sign the Scotsman last summer, when Kit Symons was manager, but they shelved the move after failing to agree a deal.

However current boss Slavisa Jokanovic has been more successful, making McDonald his eighth signing of the summer.

The Carnoustie-born player made 126 appearances in all competitions during three years at Wolves, having previously played for Sheffield United, Notts County, Scunthorpe and Burnley.

During his time at Molineux, he helped Wolves win promotion to the Championship in his first season, and subsequent finishes of seventh and 14th in the second tier.

The Whites’ other new arrivals are goalkeeper David Button, full-backs Scott Malone and Denis Odoi, centre-back Tomas Kalas, midfielder Floyd Ayite and striker Sone Aluko, while Michael Madl’s loan deal was made permanent.

Earlier on Friday, Fulham revealed that centre-back Fernando Amorebieta had joined Sporting Gijon for an undisclosed fee.
