Bidwell completes QPR move as Fer has Swansea medical
Jake Bidwell has completed his move from Brentford to QPR, while Leroy Fer has been undergoing a medical at Swansea.
Left-back Bidwell, 23, has joined Rangers for £1.3m, while an agreement has been reached for midfielder Fer, 26, to move to the Liberty Stadium on a permanent basis in a deal potentially worth £4.75m.
Bidwell, who had a year of his Brentford contract remaining, has signed a three-year deal at Loftus Road.
West London Sport revealed that Brentford had rejected an approach for Bidwell and later that Rangers were planning another offer despite reports they were looking elsewhere, and also revealed this week that a fee had been agreed.
Fer, signed by QPR from Norwich in 2014, made 11 appearances while on loan at Swansea last season.
He is due to return to his native Netherlands after his medical and is expected to complete the transfer next week.
Rangers have been keen to offload him for some time – a proposed loan move to Sunderland fell through after he failed and medical and discussions about a potential move to PSV Eindhoven came to nothing before he eventually joined the Swans.
Meanwhile, QPR manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink says he wants Steven Caulker to stay at the club.
