Fans on Twitter react to Mourinho’s United unveiling
Jose Mourinho’s protracted appointment as the new Manchester United manager was confirmed on Friday – and his first words did not go down well with many Chelsea fans on Twitter.
The Portuguese, who won eight trophies in two spells at Stamford Bridge, told MUTV: “There is a mystique and a romance about it which no other club can match.”
That angered a number of Blues supporters still reeling from his sacking in December.
I appreciate Jose is at a big club like Man United But the whole “no club can match” talk is upsetting to hear. #CFC fans always stood by u

So this is what you get for supporting a manager unconditionally. Jose, no #MUFC fan will ever love you more than a #CFC fan. Good luck.

Thank you for the memories, Jose. As you said – love stops once a person joins a rival. I’m going to live up to that. #CFC #Chelsea #myclub

Can’t take away what he did at the club but jose’s definitely tarnished his legacy with this move #cfc

Many United fans unsurprisingly lapped up his words and looked forward to Mourinho working his magic at Old Trafford.
Jose on United: “There is a mystique and a romance about it which no other club can match.”
No truer words have been spoken. #Mufc #cfc

There’s a mystique and romance about #mufc 100% correct Jose, #cfc doesn’t come close to what this club is about, the future looks good 😎

Totally agree, JM manipulated this whole Man U saga from way back to last summer.
I believe he was tipped off that Van Gaul would be sacked, so then di everything possible to get himself sacke, with a good pay off, and ready to take over at Man U.
No I don’t wish him well, he has betrayed al of the Chelse players and supporters and nearly got the club relegated. Worst of al he destroyed the confidence of the Chelsea team.THAT IS NOT A GREAT MANAGER. It’s one who has no morals or loyalty.good riddance to him.

dont talk bull. Chelsea owner allowed the players to force mourinho out, just like they have to all managers. You cant blame jose for being bitter. I personally am glad he has gone to a team, where he will be appreciated. I wish him well and you are plastic fans

Jose Mourinho is simply an ingrate, he master minded the sacking of L Van Gal so he can take over, that’s his former boss, what a shame, he even has the guts to say mu is a club no club can match knowing fully well that will hurt Chelsea fans, so this was his plan right from day one to destroy Chelsea FC and go to Mu by selling all our prospective best young talents, Andre Schurrle, Kelvin De brown, Lumelu Lukaku, Juan Mata, Even our club legendary, Peter Cech, as a professional I wish Jose Mourinho well, but as a Cfc fan there is no more love story between us anymore, this is a guy that said no more love story between Frank Lampard and Chelsea when he joined City, only for him to do the worst, hypocrite! hypocrite!! hypocrite!!!
