QPR’s ‘improved £3.5m bid’
Joey Barton’s Twitter tirade against his former QPR boss Neil Warnock inevitably dominates the back pages.
Elsewhere, the R’s are to make an improved £3.5m bid for Tottenham midfielder Steven Pienaar and want his South Africa team-mate Daylon Claasen from Lierse, the Daily Mail reports.
Rangers were given short shrift after making an initial enquiry for Pienaar but are said to still be keen to sign him.
The Mail also say Stoke are interested in taking QPR’s out-of-favour forward DJ Campbell on loan for the rest of the season.
Meanwhile, Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas has reportedly launched a £20m bid for Shakhtar Donetsk’s Brazilian midfielder Willian.
And, based on David Beckham’s comments when asked about Frank Lampard, The Sun suggest LA Galaxy are looking to sign the Chelsea midfielder.
