Transfer gossip: Chelsea among clubs linked with Cherries star

A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea…

Chelsea are interested in Bournemouth’s Matt Richie along with Tottenham and Manchester United, The Sun claim.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is said to be considering making a bid for the Scotland international.

Meanwhile, speculation continues over the future of former Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, who has been linked with a possible return to Stamford Bridge.

The Daily Mirror say he would cost more than £50m and that Everton would fight to keep him even if they receive an offer of that size.

There has also been speculation over the future of John Mikel Obi, who appears to have suggested he could leave Chelsea this summer if he is not in their first-team plans.

The midfielder, whose contract expires in 2017, is quoted by Goal.com as saying: “I have one more season with Chelsea but I know when this season ends, we will definitely sit down and try to sort out whatever needs to be sorted out.

“If it means me leaving, fine. If it means me staying, then I have to play because one thing I don’t want to do is to sit on the bench like I did before.”

And Chelsea have again been linked with Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels, this time by the Daily Express.

The newspaper claim Chelsea are among a number of English clubs ‘on standby’ following comments by the Germany international.

“I have to find out for myself what I want to do,” he told German outlet ZDF.

“I hesitate to make a decision now, but I’m thinking about it a lot.”
