Redknapp claims Townsend is not for sale
QPR boss Harry Redknapp claims Tottenham do not want to sell Andros Townsend.
Redknapp took the winger on loan from Spurs last season and Rangers are keen to sign him on a permanent basis before the transfer window closes.
But Redknapp says his former club are reluctant to part with Townsend and that a loan move is also unlikely.
He said: “Andros did great last year but Tottenham don’t really want to sell him. He’s not for sale as far as I know.
“It’s difficult. I couldn’t see us being able to buy him. I think he’d be too expensive for us. But I do like Andros – he’d be brilliant.”
Redknapp added: “I’d love to sign him on loan but whether we could do that, I wouldn’t bet on it.”

its all jealousy.our owner wants to make the club bigger and better, and other clubs are green with envy,or are scared of what we may become.

Really! I think it better you go back to your cave! What about avenger talking about Suarez or Jose talking about Rooney. Both man utd and Liverpool insist neither player is for sale. By your thinking arsenal and Chelsea should be sanctioned too! Get a grip!

“Redknapp is always very willing to talk about other clubs players. He and QPR should be heavily sanctioned with a ban on them making any signings for the remainder of this window.” – Caveman. Oh dear, you are a sad individual. Plenty of managers talk about other players. I am fed up with Mourinho chuntering on about Rooney and Moyes still talking about Fabregas – despite both being told that the players will not be sold to them. So maybe we should ban them as well? Grow up.
