New signing could make QPR debut

Summer signing Ryan Nelsen could make his QPR debut later today.

The New Zealand captain recently joined his new team-mates on their pre-season visit to Germany.

He was not considered for last weekend’s friendly against Trabzonspor because of his involvement in the Olympics.

Manager Mark Hughes will assess the defender’s fitness before deciding whether to involve him in a game against Augsburg this afternoon.

Former England international Owen Hargreaves – a free agent after being released by Manchester City – is also with the Rangers squad in Germany.
