Fulham want Wolves winger, Gunter and Naughton – report
Fulham plan to table a £5m bid for Wolves winger Matt Jarvis and are also chasing Tottenham full-back Kyle Naughton and Nottingham Forest’s Chris Gunter, according to The People.
There is speculation about England international Jarvis’ future at Molineux following Wolves’ relegation from the Premier League.
And it is claimed he is a target for Fulham boss Martin Jol, who is also keen to sign a right-back this summer.
Forest defender Gunter has previously been linked with a move to Craven Cottage, while Naughton, who spent last season on loan at Norwich from Spurs, has been mooted as another possible signing.
The People also claim that Nigel Adkins is fighting to keep his job at Southampton and could be replaced by Roberto Di Matteo.
It is suggested that Adkins’ position is under threat despite him leading the Saints to two promotions, and that he fears the club’s Italian chairman Nicola Cortese will look to appoint Di Matteo if the Chelsea interim boss is not installed as manager at Stamford Bridge this summer.
Marcello Lippi is keen to sign Chelsea striker Didier Drogba for Chinese side Guangzhou, according to the Sunday Mirror.
They also report that Chelsea are planning to pip Tottenham and both Manchester clubs to the signing of Lille’s Belgian winger Eden Hazard, as do The Sun on Sunday.

Fulham made a profit too, a record profit. and i dont think this is that likely, the people aren’t reliable and i doubt fulham would take in that many english players. they’ll be looking to the eredivisie for young players.

Wolves Owner Steve Morgan himself has said that offers for Matt Jarvis will only be entertained If potential suitors bid more than 10 Million Pounds. Jarvis is still young and is a full England International. He has blistering pace, trickery and an eye for goal. In a poor Wolves team he still managed to score 8 goals this season. 5 Million Pounds is a joke. Wolves are debt free and don’t need to sell. If we can hold on to the likes of Jarvis, Fletcher, Hennessey, Kitely etc we will have a great chance of being promoted again.

I know fans always over value what are seen as their best players, but I just don’t see how anyone will get Matt Jarvis for just £5m. I see United have just signed a 18 year old kid from crew for £4m.
He has played 110 premier league games and has 17 premier league goals and an England cap. If I am honest he is behind Lennon, Walcott, Downing for England but that still makes him a valuable premier play.
It will take at least £7 or £8m to get Wolves to do business.

5 Million! You got to be kidding. More like 10 million and not a pound less. Do you honestly think Wolves are desperate for a lowly 5? Please!!!!!

5M? Wolves are the only club to make a profit in the PL, and have clauses in players contracts to reduce the wage bill when relegated, hence no need to sell. Jarvis is happy at Wolves and feels commitment having been given his big chance there. He has 3years left on his contract , has played for England, is still relatively young, and not injured. 10M would be a steal given the price other wingers with these credentials have gone for, 15M would be fair. If he leaves for a good price, I wish him well, but would like him to stay and get us straight back up.

£5m? Forget it. Wolves aren’t in need of the money and as Jarvo is a goalscoring winger with blistering pace who tracks back to defend as well you could double that price tag and is still wouldn’t be high enough. I hate lazy paper talk.
